Optician
Full-time position with paid vacation and monthly bonus potential. Salary is DOE. 
Responsibilities: 

• Frame and lens sales with the latest technology and premium products
• Eyewear adjustment and repairs 
• Insurance verifications and billing 
• Clerical duties (such as answering the telephone, scheduling appointments, checking patients in/out, referral assistant, maintenance of patient data)
• ​Maintain frame inventory and displays 
• Stocking contact lenses and eyewear 
• Assisting the optometrist with patients (such as visual field tests, visual acuity, color vision testing, stereopsis, lensometry, contact lens training)

Requirements:

• ABO certification (we are willing assist otherwise excellent candidates without certification to become certified) 
• Strong commitment to customer care and confidence in dealing with people
• Respect for patient confidentiality 
• Attention to detail and manual dexterity 
• Sales skills and the ability to inspire customer loyalty
• Teamwork skills 

Optometric Technician
Full-time position with paid vacation and monthly bonus potential. Salary is DOE. Candidates possessing a post-secondary degree related to optometric technology or medical office assistance will be given preference.
Responsibilities: 

• Pre-testing and special testing of patients (such as visual field tests, visual acuity, color vision testing, stereopsis, lensometry)
• Contact lens training 
  
• Preparation and cleaning of exam rooms and equipment
• Insurance verifications and billing 
• Clerical duties (such as answering the telephone, scheduling appointments, checking patients in/out, referral assistant, maintenance of patient data)
• Knowledgeable about products and services offered

• Computer literacy 
• Handles complex situations and patient issues with tact and patience 
• Respect for patient confidentiality 
• Aptitude for technology and resourcefulness in troubleshooting equipment malfunction 
• Enthusiastic about the latest products and services in eyecare
